WiseBee Secures $2.5M to Provide Autonomous Cyber Defense to Mid-Market

Cybersecurity startup WiseBee has secured $2.5 million in pre-seed funding to enhance its Agentic cyber risk mitigation platform. Founded by Stoyan Stoyanov (CEO) and Taha Kazi (CDO), WiseBee’s team combines deep cybersecurity knowledge with advanced expertise in AI and machine learning, aiming to revolutionize security operations with an AI-based platform.

The company moves beyond traditional cybersecurity by not only detecting threats but also resolving them automatically with AI-driven workflows, offering enterprise-level security to mid-sized organizations. WiseBee already collaborates with clients including a US local government, as well as leading fintech, banking, and space tech firms in Europe.

CEO Stoyan Stoyanov noted that existing cybersecurity tools are often reactive and expensive, designed for larger enterprises. WiseBee offers a different approach: an autonomous system of security agents operating 24/7 to detect and mitigate risks.

Given the high resource demands of modern cybersecurity, WiseBee addresses gaps faced by mid-sized security teams, which often suffer from alert overload and insufficient personnel. It fortifies public and private sectors, aiding fintechs, space tech, government, and regulated financial institutions with AI-driven risk management and automated threat resolution. Pilot programs are active with CISOs in sectors such as fintech, banking, government, defense, and telecom, enabling real-time responses and cutting time-to-response significantly.

The funding round was led by Frontline Ventures and BrightCap Ventures, alongside a US-based investment firm and cybersecurity-experienced angel investors. Frontline Ventures, supporting ambitious tech companies in the US and Europe, emphasized the urgency of WiseBee’s mission. Partner Zoe Chambers noted the importance of AI-native agents that go beyond alerts to provide comprehensive remediation.

Dimitar Korsakov, Principal at BrightCap, highlighted the shift in cybersecurity from mere alerts to intelligent context and autonomous actions, praising WiseBee’s delivery across the board thanks to the founders’ industry expertise and AI innovation.

The funding also involves a network of strategic advisors from companies like SecurityScorecard, VMWare, Box, Amazon, Deloitte, Verizon, and Google. WiseBee is expanding in Europe and North America, with traction in regions like CEE, the UK, DACH, and the US West Coast. The investment will enhance the platform’s autonomous capabilities, broaden integrations, and support product-led growth. WiseBee is preparing for its next funding phase and aims to foster a community-driven approach to cyber defense.
