Observing the All In podcast, there’s been extensive discussion about this. These male figures often voice opinions on matters well beyond their typical professional purview.

**Louise Matsakis:** Indeed, some could say they’re professional posters. With all due respect to venture capitalists, VC work isn’t a nonstop occupation.

Why does a candidate promoting effective governance, affordable housing, and equitable policies unsettle crypto moguls and VCs? After listening to Mamdani speak and in interviews, he doesn’t seem to advocate against the tech industry, which ties into Caroline’s report.

**Zoë Schiffer:** Precisely. Caroline spoke to individuals at a private 200-person event in July with Mamdani and tech leaders. Attendees felt he was thoughtful and engaging. While prominent tech voices criticize him, New York City’s tech community seems to have a more nuanced perspective. Another intriguing topic is ant smuggling, which surprisingly has significant personal relevance for me.
