Senior Support Engineer at Carebit

**About You:**
We’re seeking a **Senior Support Engineer** who excels in addressing real customer challenges through hands-on technical work. You’ll be at the heart of our support, engineering, and data migration teams – a versatile technical expert who appreciates variety.

This role suits a proficient developer eager to fully engage in debugging, fixing, and improving product issues affecting doctors and patients.

**You’ll Work On:**
– Investigating and resolving bugs or issues reported by our Customer Support Specialists.
– Executing small-to-medium feature adjustments (e.g., modifying exports, adjusting logic).
– Writing Ruby scripts and jobs for post-migration data cleanup or updates.
– Collaborating with developers and support staff to triage, prioritize, and resolve issues.
– Delivering small fixes to production regularly and reliably.

**What We Are Looking For:**
– Strong experience with Ruby on Rails (Rails 7, Ruby 3.4).
– Proficiency with React, TypeScript/JavaScript, and PostgreSQL.
– Comfort working in a Linux-based environment (AWS ECS, command line).
– Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills – you enjoy finding root causes of problems.
– Fluent, friendly communication – especially with non-technical users.
– A proactive, independent mindset – you accomplish tasks without much supervision.
– **You must be located within GMT/BST ±3 time zones and be available during UK working hours (typically 9am–5.30pm).**

**Nice to Have:**
– Sysadmin experience.
– Experience supporting SaaS products or working closely with support teams.
