About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to create and deliver products impacting people’s financial futures. You’ll join a small, early-stage engineering team where each member has significant ownership, and your work will directly influence the product and the company’s technical direction.
As a senior engineer, you’ll focus on developing and supporting the infrastructure of vested.co, our primary equity management and stock-option-funding platform.
What You’ll Do
– Build impactful features: Design and implement user-facing features to help people manage and understand their equity compensation.
– Own end-to-end delivery: Manage projects from concept to production, including system design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
– Shape our technical direction: Participate in architectural decisions and contribute to engineering best practices as we grow.
– Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with product, design, and business teams to deliver outstanding user experiences.
– Grow the team: Share your expertise and foster a culture of continuous learning. Assist in building our inclusive and egoless engineering culture.
– Solve complex problems: Address challenging technical issues related to financial calculations, data integrations, and creating reliable systems at scale.
What We’re Looking For
– 4+ years of software engineering experience with a history of shipping production software.
– Full-stack capabilities with expertise in modern web technologies. Familiarity with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and MongoDB is essential, along with experience in building frontend features, designing APIs, and modeling data relationships.
– Product mindset: You focus on user experience and enjoy creating products that address real problems.
– Strong communication skills: Ability to explain complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
– Ownership mentality: You take pride in your work and see projects through from start to finish.
– Growth mindset: Ready to learn new technologies and fields.

The expected salary for this role is $145,000 – $190,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
Location
Fully remote, with standups and collaboration primarily in the Eastern Time Zone, though team members span from Alaska to Europe.
