Paragraf Secures $55M in Series C Funding Round

Paragraf, a UK company specializing in mass-producing graphene-based electronics using standard semiconductor processes, has completed a $55 million Series C funding round. This funding will enhance Paragraf’s manufacturing capabilities and production capacity, enabling graphene electronics to penetrate mass markets.

Paragraf’s technology integrates seamlessly into the semiconductor ecosystem, offering both ready-to-use solutions and a platform for developing custom applications.

Graphene’s unique properties allow devices to operate faster, more accurately, and with less energy consumption than silicon-based alternatives, particularly in extreme environments, such as cryogenic systems in quantum computing and high-temperature, high-radiation applications.

In molecular sensing, Paragraf’s Graphene Molecular Sensors (GMS) are being developed for liquid and gas detection, supporting early disease diagnosis and applications in healthcare, agritech, food production, chemical manufacturing, and consumer products. Graphene-based technologies are unlocking new possibilities across many sectors.

Dr. Simon Thomas, Co-Founder and CEO of Paragraf, stated that the investment reflects confidence in Paragraf and will enable the expansion of production for faster, more energy-efficient technologies. Despite the challenging funding environment, Paragraf has attracted significant interest and secured support from both new and existing partners.

The company operates three facilities: two in Cambridgeshire, UK, and one in San Diego, US, following its 2023 acquisition of a US company. Paragraf is expanding its presence in the US, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
