Jeh Aerospace Secures $11M to Expand India’s Commercial Aircraft Supply Chain

Indian startup Jeh Aerospace, founded by Vishal Sanghavi and Venkatesh Mudragalla, addresses the commercial aircraft sector’s production bottleneck. Former Tata Group executives, they spent nearly two decades with the company, working on projects with global aerospace giants like Boeing, Sikorsky, and Lockheed Martin. With $11 million in Series A funding, they’re scaling the production of metallic components for aero engines and aerostructures, sold to U.S. Tier 1 suppliers serving Airbus and Boeing. They aim to position India as a hub for aerospace component manufacturing. “At Tatas, we unlocked India’s potential for large OEMs like Boeing, Airbus, Sikorsky, and GE, but with Jeh Aerospace, we aim to unlock India’s potential for large Tier 1 and Tier 2 manufacturers,” said Sanghavi, the CEO. Jeh Aerospace, headquartered in Atlanta, operates a 60,000 sq ft precision manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, cutting industry lead times from 15 weeks to 15 days through advanced tech. The company raised about $15 million from venture capital firms including Elevation Capital, with a strategic investment from IndiGo Ventures. Global air traffic demand surged 10.4% in 2024, pushing airlines to expand fleets amidst production delays. Jeh Aerospace aims to alleviate bottlenecks with its tech-driven component manufacturing. The startup focuses on Tier 1 and Tier 2 manufacturers, holding a customer base of companies like GS Precision and RH Aero. Jeh Aerospace’s accomplishments include over 100,000 flight-critical components delivered, $6 million ARR, and achieving profitability after taxes, with plans to scale manufacturing and inspection through next-gen digital tech. India’s growing aerospace role is evident with Airbus and Boeing’s increasing investments, and Jeh Aerospace seeks to fill the gap in large-scale component manufacturing. While few Indian startups are in aerospace components, companies like JJG Aero are considered industry peers. Sanghavi views competition mainly from U.S.-based tier-2 suppliers.
