Faba, a startup based in Treviso, has secured €4.5 million to boost its screen-free audio entertainment system for children, focusing on expanding its presence in Spain. The funding round included CDP Venture Capital, Oltre Impact, and Ad4Ventures. This investment raises Faba’s total funding to €8.2 million since 2022. CEO Matteo Fabbrini emphasized the importance of this investment in their international expansion, aiming to become part of Spanish households with educational and entertaining offerings.

Founded in 2019, Faba’s innovative products like FABA Cuentacuentos and FABA+ are designed for children aged 0 to 10. They use physical sound figurines called “Personajes Sonoros” to deliver audio experiences in multiple languages. Faba has already reached over 370,000 families in Europe, including 30,000 in Spain since 2022. With the new funding, Faba plans to strengthen its market presence, grow its revenues, and expand its team by 2027.

Faba’s screen-free design focuses on audio storytelling and tactile interaction, earning praise from educators and researchers. A study by the University of Trieste found significant improvements in language and cognitive development in 46% of Faba users. The company has sold over 1.7 million Personajes Sonoros and received various awards, positioning itself as a prominent name in early childhood education and entertainment. Faba operates in more than 2,000 European retail outlets and aims to become a market leader in Spain by 2025.
