Fateless, Creators of Godforge, Secures $14M in Funding

Fateless, creator of the upcoming RPG Godforge, has concluded a second funding round, securing an additional $8 million, bringing its total funding to $14 million. Established in 2023, Fateless prioritizes community involvement, crafting games alongside players. Originating from content creation and guild leadership, the team is dedicated to offering engaging, player-centric experiences. By focusing on player agency, immersive storytelling, and equitable monetization, Fateless aims to establish a studio where players contribute to the game’s development. With expertise in RPGs and hero collection games, Fateless was established by Simon “HellHades” Lockerby, Dan “Phixion” Francis, and Hisham “Sham” Saleh, united by a vision of forming a community-driven studio delivering premium gaming experiences. Supported mainly by its HH Gaming and HellHades communities, the developer’s main game, Godforge, has reached its Alpha phase featuring “Caverns of Chaos,” a mode to test core mechanics and retention. This cross-platform RPG unfolds in a vivid universe where players wield powers of renowned Gods, Myths, and Legends from various factions. Simon Lockerby, Co-founder and CEO of Fateless, stated: “With over 2 million players engaged through our YouTube channels, website, Discord, and social media, we are excited and confident that Godforge will advance the hero collector genre for future players.” Furthermore, the community has shown great belief in the game, helping raise $6 million in the initial phase and significantly contributing to the recent round. With strategic depth, cinematic visuals, and strong community feedback, Godforge aims to redefine the hero collector genre, slated for a worldwide launch in Q1 2026.
