We love supporting small, scaling businesses. Since 2013, we’ve developed a CRM focused on enhancing communication without the hassle of manual data entry or complex interfaces. Our mission is to boost sales productivity with a modern, communication-centric CRM.
Our backend [tech stack](https://stackshare.io/close-crm/close) primarily utilizes Python Flask web apps with the [TaskTiger](https://github.com/closeio/tasktiger) scheduler managing backend asynchronous tasks. We use data stores like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and Redis. Our infrastructure runs on AWS with services like EKS, MSK, RDS, and ElasticCache, alongside EC2 instances. CI/CD pipelines generate Docker images, run tests, and deploy to Kubernetes clusters. These images are also used locally for coding across all of our services. Our [public API](https://developer.close.com/) supports our front-end JavaScript app and numerous integrations, with automated infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and other AWS tools.

Join one of our six cross-functional teams: CRM, Admin & Onboarding, Conversations, Messaging & Scheduling, Automations & Integrations, Data Insights. Collaborate with backend & frontend engineers, product managers, and designers.
**About You**
We’re seeking high-achieving, full-time Software Engineers with strong web technology knowledge to help design, launch, and scale key systems and user features.

**Requirements…**
– Senior level candidates should have 5+ years of experience with backend systems (8+ for Staff level, ~3 for Mid-level eager to grow).
– Preferably professional Python experience or atleast a desire to work with Python if proficient in other languages.
– Experience building high-volume web APIs.
– Hands-on production experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, or similar.
– Skills in designing, scaling, debugging, and optimizing fast, reliable systems.
– Code review experience with quality improvement contributions.
– Passionate about code and systems craftsmanship.
– Located in the USA (lower 48 timezones).
