AGAZ Summit: The Launchpad for Canadian Founders Seeking Global Reach

What is needed for Canadian startups to thrive in the world’s fastest-growing markets?

On September 23, AGAZ Summit 2025 at the Mississauga Convention Centre will gather founders, investors, and policymakers to address this question.

Hosted by the Canada Startup Association (CSA), AGAZ Summit aims to provide founders with practical tools, connections, and market intelligence crucial for success. It is a hub for networking and knowledge exchange, opening doors both within and beyond the Canadian market.

This year’s theme, “Going Global,” emphasizes accessing new regions, diversifying export portfolios, and enhancing international resilience.

“We want founders to help shape the solutions that remove barriers and create clear paths to global growth,” said Tehmina Chaudhry, CSA President. “CSA’s aim is to support the transformation of the Canadian startup ecosystem into something more resilient, inclusive, and cohesive.”

Besides market entry strategies, the 2025 agenda covers securing non-dilutive capital and aligning private innovation with public policy. A policy roundtable will allow founders to present their priorities directly, and the results will be compiled into a formal report for policymakers.

AGAZ Summit 2025 also features a mix of seasoned leaders and emerging innovators. Speakers include Miryam Lazarte of Global Startups with a guide to raising capital, Mississauga Mayor Carolyn Parrish hosting the opening networking breakfast, and TeachBuddyAI founder Muhammad Munawwar Khan discussing his platform’s reach to over 60 countries.

The pitch competition is a major attraction for attendees. Two winners will join a Canadian delegation of 20 startups in Dubai for Expand North Star, showcasing startups to tech professionals from over 100 countries. This includes a $3,000 exhibition pod and the opportunity to connect globally.

“Our focus aligns with the Canadian government’s vision of going global and exploring markets beyond the United States,” said Hammad Siddiqui, CSA Executive Director.

AGAZ Summit is CSA’s flagship conference, connecting underserved startups, small businesses, and entrepreneurs to share knowledge, form partnerships, and access vital resources.

Founded by Siddiqui, a global startup mentor, and Chaudhry, a social entrepreneur and early Startup Visa recipient in Canada, CSA brings together a national and international network for founders to connect with investors, policymakers, and peers to grow in new markets.
