This Tineco all-in-one cleaner is feature-rich and user-friendly, though I needed to review the instructions multiple times to grasp its various modes and options. When you press the power button, it starts in Auto mode, which assesses floor dirtiness and adjusts steam output accordingly. Steam Mode is for deep cleaning, and Boost mode tackles tough spots and stains. The companion app, requiring 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, enables a suction-only mode for dry vacuuming—ideal for accidental spills like coffee grounds. The app also provides charge status updates and troubleshooting assistance, plus cleaning frequency tracking if desired.
The mop features two water tanks: one for clean water, the other for dirty. You can fill it with water or Tineco’s recommended cleaning solution, which I haven’t tested. It leaves floors drier than other mops I’ve tried. After cleaning, return it to the charging dock for battery recharging and noisy but effective self-cleaning, which cleans and dries the brush roll and transfers residue to the dirty tank. Rinse both the dry filter and dirty tank to maintain cleanliness. The dock even offers storage for these parts.
With various modes, this steam mop boasts a ring light that changes from red (dirty) to purple and finally blue (clean) as you work. Its built-in mop head lights ensure thorough cleaning. It’s self-propelled, a mixed blessing due to its weight; turning it off with the button was easier for me than setting it upright. Taller or stronger individuals may not experience this issue. The battery takes four to five hours to charge and depletes quickly depending on mode usage and cleaning area size. I also wished for a replaceable battery. Like the recommended Shark model, edge support isn’t excellent, so manual cleaning around corners may be necessary.
Lastly, this mop has a voice feature announcing modes, tank needs, and more. You can disable this if it bothers you. I found it useful, though it occasionally competed with the machine’s noise during cleaning. Quirky, not problematic. If you need a steam mop for tough messes, this is a worthy choice.
