The Role

As Head of Engineering, you will guide our engineering team to deliver high-quality features, improvements, and system enhancements. You will support your team to achieve departmental goals while promoting growth, experimentation, and effective performance management.

This position suits someone with a growth mindset, a passion for modern technology, and a balance of technical expertise and people leadership. You will guide the team through change, streamline processes, and make strategic decisions aligned with our business goals.

  • Remote Leadership: Navigate remote work challenges, using async communication effectively and knowing when to prioritize meetings.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Engineering Team Leads, Product, and other stakeholders to align on priorities and deliver impactful solutions.

What You Bring to the Team: 

  • Experience:

    • 3+ years in software development and a few years in a leadership role (e.g., Tech Lead, Engineering Manager).

    • Experience in a SaaS startup preferred (company size: 100-250 headcount).

    • Proven track record of remote leadership and async communication.

  • Skills:

    • Strong technical background with the ability to guide technical decisions and evaluate competing solutions.

    • Business-minded, with a strategic approach to balancing feature development and system improvements.

    • Experience in change management and guiding teams through transitions.

  • Personality Traits:

    • Supportive leader who empowers teams to find the right outcomes.

    • Growth mindset with a passion for modern technology and innovation.

    • Ability to facilitate consensus and encourage diverse perspectives.

    • Positive attitude toward our tech stack (even if not fully experienced with it).

Nice-to-Have

  • Hands-on experience with our tech stack (.Net, React & Postgres) or similar technologies.
